Also included are public and private schools in Calinan, Tugbok, and Talomo Districts affected by flood.
The Davao City Police Office reported “as of 9 pm, Aug. 28, 2019, Calinan District Area is now in normal situation as rain stop and flood water subside, except in Barangay Pangyan, the bridge was damaged and has been rendered impassable.”
Residents of Barangay Bangkal and other parts of Talomo district waded through a waist-deep water as rescue teams brought them to higher grounds.
The successive heavy downpour in the hinterlands during the last two days triggered the flooding.
