DAVA CITY — The provinces of Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte are now under General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
The two provinces have registered zero cases since March 31.
This after Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque In a press briefing, Tuesday morning, April 28, said that the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has updated the list of the areas that needed Enhanced Community Quarantine extension until May 15, 2020.
The area which remain under ECQ include:
- -NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION
- -REGION 3 EXCEPT PROVINCE OF AURORA
- REGION IV-A (CALABARZON)
- PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN
- PROVINCE OF BENGUET
- BAGUIO CITY
- PROVINCE OF ILOILO
- PROVINCE OF CEBU
- CEBU CITY
But Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said Davao de Oro informed her that they will remain under ECQ.
“It is the decision of the LGU if they continue to be under ECQ even if they have been modified to GCQ,” Duterte-Carpio said in an interview with DCDR Tuesday afternoon.
Areas which are not mentioned are recommended to shift to General Community Quarantine.

Those under GCQ means cases of coronavirus has classified into low- or moderate-risk areas .
