CAAP allows 9 of 11 Mindanao airports to operate commercial flightsPosted on
DAVAO CITY — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) allowed the operation of commercial lights in nine (9) Mindanao airports starting Thursday, June 18, after respective local government units issued a clearance.
Based on the information posted on the CAPP Facebook Page it identified the following Mindanao airports as among those allowed to operate and were given clearances:
- Davao City International Airport
- Laguindingan International Airport (Cagayan)
- Pagadian Airport
- Dipolog Airport
- Jolo Airport
- Cotabato Airport
- Zambonga Airport
- General Santos City Airport
- Ozamiz Airport
Only Two airports were not given clearance namely Siargao and Surigao Airport.
In the whole country, only 26 airports were given clearance to operate commercial flights by their respective local government units (LGU).
Meanwhile, 6 airports are set to start accepting commercial flights on later dates.
Some airports, while allowing commercial flights, are also subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions.-Newsline
