DAVAO CITY — The Regional Trial Court Branch 2 of Tagum City convicted the founder of RIGEN Marketing King Paul Bryan Auditor, also knoan a Paul Auditor. who was charged of large scale estafa.
In a decision handed down on Thursday, January 21, Judge Susana Baua sentence Auditor from ten (10) to fourteen years imprisonment (14).
The court also ordered Auditor to pay the complainants the sum of P8.4-million.
The court also ordered the arrest of Auditor’s Kharl Dexter Auditor and one Romen Samuel Wabina.
Auditor led the Ponzi scheme and entice investors offering up to 400percent interest of their money and thousands were dumped while some of those who invested earlier were able to enjoy the interest but, still majority was duped.
In June 2 2019, All Ponzi-like investment scheme in the country were declared illegal by President Rodrigo Duterte as he ordered the arrest of the leaders.
Auditor was among those who went into hiding but in February 2020, he was caught but was allows to put up bail.
On January 21, Judge Baua ordered Auditor’s conviction, but many investors believe he is no longer in a position to pay them because he already declared that documents relative to the claim of the investors were stolen when his office was ransacked sometime in 2019.
