Traveler arrested with P207K drugs

DAVAO CITY — A traveler was arrested at the checkpoint of Task Force Davao in Licanan, Barangay Lasang. on Wednesday at around 10:40 in the morning after authorities found P207,000 worth of illegal drugs in his possession.

Bunawan Police identified the suspect as Nhoman Ayo Indatoan, a resident of Sitio Upper Melilia Santa Cruz, Davao Del Sur.

Indatoan was entering the city with his bag but authorities observed he was restless and apprehensive to pass the inspection area, which prompted the personnel of Task Force Davao to request the police to order the suspect to open his bag for inspection.

Police found 30.45 grams of suspected shabu inside his bag.

The suspect is now in custody at the Bunawan Police Station while authorities are preparing to file formal charges in court..
