VP Duterte congratulates participants of peace rally, emphasizes unity for nation’s progress

DAVAO CITY – Vice President Sara Duterte congratulated the participants of the massive Peace Rally held on January 13, 2025, calling it a powerful demonstration of unity and faith in pursuing peace for the country’s development.

In her statement, Vice President Duterte expressed her gratitude to the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) members for their ongoing efforts in fostering understanding and unity among Filipinos. “This is a powerful demonstration of unity and faith whose only desire is peace towards the development of our country,” she said.

Duterte acknowledged the nation’s challenges, including rising prices, poverty, and other pressing issues. However, she emphasized that the country will continue to thrive despite adversity with a peaceful and united Philippines. “Amidst rising prices, poverty, and other problems, a peaceful and united Philippines will never be shaken, and will rise again and again amidst the challenges of the times,” she added.

The Vice President also thanked her fellow Filipinos for their dedication and concern for the country’s welfare, reiterating her call for continued solidarity. “To my countrymen, thank you very much for your concern for the country,” Duterte said.

In closing, she expressed her pride in the Filipino people, stating, “Long live the Filipino People!”

The Peace Rally, organized by the Iglesia ni Cristo, brought together thousands of participants in a collective call for peace and national unity.
