WestMinCom holds Multi-Sector Governance Consultative Board Meeting

ZAMBOANGA CITY —The Western Mindanao Command held a Multi-Sector Governance Consultative Board (MSGCB) meeting at the Eisenhower Hall, Khadaffy Mansion, Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City on Friday morning, January 15, 2021.

The meeting was done purposely to discuss the adoption of the WestMinCom Transformation Roadmap-MSGCB constitution and by-laws, address the concerns of each member of the board, and give updates on the MSGC initiatives for the past year.

Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, the Chairperson, presided over the meeting and administered the oath-taking of the new members of the board, Ministers Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo and Dickson Hermoso of the Bangsamoro government.

Physically present during the meeting were WestMinCom Commander Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., Deputy Commander for Admin Brig. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, and the Command Staff; and the MSGCB members including Hon. Mujiv Hataman, Fr. Karel San Juan SJ, Rev. Carlos Gulane, Dr. Grace Rebollos, Prof. Ali Yacub, Commissioner Jose Suan, Edwin To, Roel Pareño, Raymond Domingo, Dominic Sanchez, Teofilo Garcia, Jr., Timothy Ijiran, Abdulwahid Lutian, RPh, and Engr. Mohammad Ali Urao.

Also, present through video teleconferencing (VTC) were Christopher Lawrence Arnuco, Edwin To, Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo, and Minister Dickson Hermoso.

In realizing its vision to become a world-class armed force by 2028, the WestMinCom formed the MSGCB, a diverse group of leaders from different stakeholders. They serve as advisers in the implementation of the WestMinCom Transformation Roadmap.

Since its launch in 2019, the MSGCB has played a significant role that immensely contributed to the mission accomplishment of the command.

The unit has been conferred with the Gold Trailblazer Award for two consecutive years (2019-2020).

In his message, Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. said, “the MSGCB has been instrumental in all our triumphs”. Newsline.ph
