DAVAO CITY (August 5) – The Davao City Tourism Operations Office has officially presented the 11 candidates for Hiyas sa Kadayawan 2025, each proudly representing one of the city’s ethnolinguistic groups.
More than just a beauty pageant, Hiyas sa Kadayawan is a celebration of culture, unity, and tradition. This year’s candidates are championing advocacies on cultural preservation, education, youth and women empowerment, and the promotion of indigenous arts, music, and crafts.
The cultural presentations will be held on August 9 at SM City Davao, while the coronation night is set for August 14 at the USEP Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
