ZAMBOANGA CITY – The local government of Zamboanga City officially opened the 19th Cosechas de Zamboanga, an agricultural trade fair held at Plaza Pershing on Monday, October 2.
The event features the participation of 40 farmers and fisherfolk associations from the city. This two-week exhibit is part of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival activities and is organized by the City Agriculturist Office.
The exhibition will run until October 15, providing a platform for local farmers to showcase their agricultural crops and products, including ornamental plants, fresh fruits, vegetables, and more.
The opening of the 19th Cosechas de Zamboanga was attended by local government officials and representatives from various government offices and agencies, demonstrating the city’s commitment to supporting its agriculture and fisheries sectors.
This agricultural trade fair aims to promote and celebrate the rich agricultural heritage of Zamboanga City, highlighting the contributions of local farmers and fisherfolk to the city’s economy. It also serves as an opportunity for these farmers to directly engage with consumers and potential buyers.
