6.4 magnitude earthquake hits Surigao del Norte

DAVAO CITY (March 8)-— A 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Surigao del Norte at 11:06 tonight.

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake of tectonic origin had a depth of 16 kilometers North of Burgos, Surigao del Norte.

The Phivolcs also reported a 4.1 magnitude earthquake about five kilometers East of Carmen North Cotabato at 10:48.

While intensity 2 was felt in Kidapawan City.-NewsLine.ph
