DAVAO CITY (October 15) —  President Rodrigo Duterte accompanied his longtime aide Christopher Lawrence “Bong” to the Commission on Elections Monday afternoon to file his Certificate of Candidacy for senator.

Duterte was with Go until he finished filing his COC. Go started to serve Duterte in September 1998.

Prior to the filing, Go has repeatedly denied plans to run for the Senate, despite numerous posters and paraphernalia bearing his name and face being spread out in public places nationwide.

After filing his COC, Duterte raised the hand of GO.

While  Duterte and Go  left the Comelec building, supporters of Go shouted “Go Bong Go!”,  and again Duterte raised his right hand.

Go said he is running to serve the Filipino people “Ang aking pagtakbo ay hindi para sa sarili ko, ito ay para sa mga Pilipino.”

He said if given the chance, he will work hard to provide better health services to the people.

“Kailangan ng Tapang at Malasakit sa Senado.”

Go also denied using the government resources in his sorties.

Go first earned the title “Pambansang Photobomber ” because of his penchant for taking selfies with powerful world leaders. –Editha Z. Caduaya/NewsLine.ph
