EDMONTON — There is so much excitement for the opening of the first Jollibee store in Edmonton that the line up has already started.

In 2016, the first Jollibee store in Canada opened in Winnipeg where hundreds of Filipinos braved the cold winter that year.

TV footages taken by CBC and other TV Networks showed excited Pinoys bundled up and waited in subzero temperatures, -27 degrees Celsius, at 1406 Ellice Avenue, the exact address that is now registered on every Pinoy’s GPS.

But that will not be the case in Edmonton. It’s projected to be a beautiful 13 degrees Celsius weather on Friday.

That beautiful weather has made a man to decide to set up his lawn chair since August 13 and would go to the record books as the first customer of Jollibee Edmonton.

Facebook accounts have been flooded with posts of their excitement to be at 3803 Calgary Trail NW (Unit 914), Edmonton, AB T6J 7A9 beginning at exactly 7 a.m.

Jaytee Balmores of the famous Jeepney Jaytee Food Truck welcomes the coming of Jollibee in Edmonton with so much excitement too.

“It brings something special from home when you talk about Jollibee and I’m very happy that they are opening here,” said Balmores.(MPB/newsline.ph)
