ILIGAN CITY — Rather than ride a typical bridal car in full military uniform, six army soldiers prefer to have it with their armored personnel carrier to ferry them through the place where they wed their bride on Saturday morning, December 12.

The coronavirus pandemic may have constrained spontaneous movements of people, but not their love — a reason why six soldiers from the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion of Philippine Army at Baloi, Lanao del Norte exchanged vows to seal their love amid a health crisis.

Following the minimum health protocol, the soldiers took their colleagues to be their coin and ring bearers so as not to invite people from outside the camp.

The brides and grooms boarded the APC from their quarters to the wedding reception and vice-versa.

Monsignor Ramonito S. Torres, Vicar General, Prelature of Marawi City, sealed their vow inside the 4th MIB’s multi-purpose hall.

The six couples were witnessed by their colleagues in uniform as they exchanged “I do’s” to seal their marital vows inside the military camp.

Lt. Col. Domingo G. Dulay Jr., the Battalion Commander of the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion said not even the pandemic could stop the couples from finally exchanging marital vows,-Divina M. Suson
