DAVAO CITY — No one can imagine the magnitude of love that a woman police officer could offer to a baby who did not come from her womb. For indeed, once a mother always a mother no matter what occupation a mother belongs to.
On December 8, the police of Claveria in Misamis Oriental responded to a call about a depressed woman at Purok 2, Patrocinio, Claveria, Misamis Oriental.
At around 2:30 in the afternoon, the team from Claveria police arrived in the above-mentioned place and found a woman who was carrying a crying baby.
When Patrolwoman Chinnie Jo D. Paderna learned that the mother was suffering from a state of depression, which could have been the reason for not giving the baby proper feeding attention. The lady in uniform and her mother instinct immediately took and breastfed the one-month-old baby, without hesitation or word.
In an interview with Newsline, Pat. Paderna revealed she has a five-month-old baby back home that she also breastfeeds. “It was the first time that I shared my milk with another baby,” she said
Reports have it, the baby’s mother was suffering from severe depression, a reason she failed to attend to her baby Adam.
In a Facebook post, Claveria MPS lauded their colleague saying, “Claveria Police Station is so proud of you CJ Paderna .”-ezc
