GINGOOG CITY – Department of Tourism-10 (DOT-10) Regional Director May Salvaña-Unchuan conducted a dive exploration with the DOT offices at various diving destinations in the Northern Mindanao region in support of its #DiveMisOr and #ExploreMisOr programs. The programs focus on Dive Tourism and the steps that need to be taken to further improve it.

The event was held on September 27-30.

The CU (Can Unite) Administration is pleased that through the initiatives of the DOT, the diving spot in the City has been discovered with great potential to become an International Diving Destination due to the macro marine creatures that can only be found in the pier.

The current administration is proud that the Gingoog Dive Tourism has been highlighted through the ongoing partnership among the local government, DOT, and the Gingoognons.

The local government will continue to exert efforts to give premium on the development of tourism in Gingoog because by promoting tourism, it can also provide more revenue to the city and more livelihood for the people.

Also present at the event was PLtCol. Ariel Philip Pontillas, city police chief, and divers from the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Butuan.
