Duterte says he won’t support Marcos’ candidacy

DAVAO CITY ––President Rodrigo Duterte said he will not support the candidacy of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.

Duterte who felt cheated why the group of Marcos fielded his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for the vice presidential race “Nagtataka ako, sabi ko, siya ang number 1 sa survey, kung bakit siyang pumayag natatakbo lang ng bise. Bakit ka tatakbo na bise presidente na alam mong mas lamang ka?.

(I was wondering, I said, she is number 1 in the survey, why she agreed to run for vice president, Why will you run for vice president when you know you are ahead.)

Duterte denied knowledge about Sara’s filing of her Certificate of Candidacy (COC), he repeatedly said he will not support the candidacy of Marcos but vowed to reveal the reasons why he will not support the former senator’s presidential bid.

It can be recalled that Duterte rose to power after the 1986 EDSA people’s power revolution and his late mother Soledad, a civic leader was among the leaders of the Yellow Friday Movement in Davao City calling for the ouster of the late dictator President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos, the father of Bongbong Marcos.

In an exclusive interview with he avid vblogger Byron Cristobal also know as Banat By which was published Sunday, Duterte said “I’m sure yung pagtakbo ni Sara, ay desisyon nila Bongbong yun (I’m sure this run of Sara is a decision of Bongbong’s camp).”
