Government hospital chef busted

DAVAO CITY –  Anti-illegal drugs enforcement agency busted four suspected illegal drug peddlers in Kidapawan City recently and among them is a hospital cook.

Aileen Lovitos, director of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency region 12, identified the hospital cook as Ariel Mago Continedo, 49 years old, who works at Kidapawan City District Hospital,

Arrested along with Continedo are his cohorts Danilo Provisa Continedo, 62 and Dino Villarete Labastida, 46. They were arrested after selling to non-uniformed PDEA-12 agents P95,200 worth of shabu in a tradeoff on Saturday in Barangay Lower Manungol in Kidapawan City.

In a separate operations, Lovitos said another dealer, the 31-year-old Edwin Reign Capote Sangatanan, long under surveillance for his shabu distribution activities, was entrapped on Monday by PDEA-12 agents in Barangay San Jose in Koronadal City.

The PDEA agents caughted Sangatanan after he sold P34,000 worth of shabu to PDEA-12 operatives who disguised as drug dependents on Monday afternoon in Purok Riverside in Barangay San Jose, Koronadal City.

Lovitos said they seized P129,200 worth of illegal drugs from the four suspects who whill be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspects are now detained at the PDEA custodial facility.
