DAPITAN– More than a hundred riders participated in an exhilarating competition held in Dapitan City, showcasing their skills in various categories of the National Moto Drag Race Tournament.

According to Apple Marie Agolong, the City Tourism Officer of Dapitan, hosting the drag race competition is one of the city’s strategies to maintain its title as the most preferred tourist destination in the entire Zamboanga Peninsula.
Dapitan City has also been recognized as a top sports tourism destination in the region, hosting a wide range of sports tournaments, from local to regional and national levels. The 201 Speed Heroes National Moto Drag Race Tournament adds to the city’s growing list of sports events, with the upcoming Ironman 5150 scheduled for September.
The city government, in collaboration with the tourism office, aims to promote Dapitan as a sports tourism hub, attracting both local and international participants and spectators.
