Saudi Arabian dead, Filipina wife wounded in Maguindanao ambush

DAVAO CITY — A Saudi Arabian was killed while his FIlipina wife was wounded in an ambush just few meters away from the town hall of Shariff Aguak in Maguindanao del Sur around 7:00 in the evening on October 10.

Shariff Aguak PNP chief Major Haron Macabanding identified the couple as Solaiman Jamal, a citizen of Saudi Arabia and his Filipina wife Bainor Jamal, residents of Barangay Labu-labu, Datu Hoffer.

Macabanding said the husband Solayman was killed on the spot while his wife is still being treated in a local hospital.

Police report showed, the couple was onboard their white Ford Ranger with license plate NER 6511 from Datu Hoffer traveling toward s Datu Piang when the ambush took place.

Jamal’s wife, who sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of her body, is now in a hospital her for treatment.

This developed as  Mayor Datu Akmad Mitra Ampatuan and Vice Mayor Engr. Marop Ampatuan, condemned the ambush and ordered the police to thoroughly investigate the incident.

The Mayor also set up a still undisclosed reward for the arrest of the suspects.
