Marcos Jr. vows justice for 6 fallen soldiers in Munai encounter

DAVAO CITY –— President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Sunday vowed to give justice to the death of the six soldiers who were killed during the encounter with terrorists in Lanao del Norte last week.

In his latest vlog, Marcos paid tribute to the soldiers who were killed in an encounter with members of the Dawlah Islamiyah-Maute Group, the alleged suspects in the Mindanao State University (MSU) bombing on December 3, 2023.

In the same Vlog, the President said, “We salute the sacrifice of six soldiers who gave their lives in an encounter to protect us against terrorists.” “Let’s continue what they fought for and persecute the opponents.”

The Philippine Army identified the fallen soldiers as Cpl Rey Anthony Salvador, Cpl Reland Tapinit, Cpl Rodel Mobida, PFC Arnel Tornito, Pvt Micharl John Lumingkit and Pvt James Porras were killed.

The four wounded soldiers were identified as Cpl Jaymark Remotigue, PFC Marvien Aguipo, Pvt Amiril Sakinal, and Pvt Nazareno Provido.
