DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The wreckage of the missing FA-50 aircraft (Tail No. 002) and the burned bodies believed to be of the missing pilots were found in the foothills of Mt. Kalatungan Complex, near Barangay Mirayon, Talakag, Bukidnon

The Search and Rescue (SAR) teams from Special Forces Team 103 “ISAAC”,1SFC of 1SFB, discovered the wreckage of the missing FA-50 aircraft (Tail No. 002).

Eastern Mindanao Command Spokesperson LtCol. Salvacion Evangelista confirms that the FA fighter jet went missing at midnight on March 4.

A spot report furnished to Newsline Philippines revealed that the aircraft was found at grid coordinates 51N XJ 97395 79958, near the Emergency Locator Beacon (ELB2).

“The FA-50 was completely wrecked, with debris scattered across the crash site, indicating it had struck trees and timber upon impact,” the report described.

Authorities are currently securing the site as investigations begin to determine the cause of the crash. As more details emerge, further updates will be provided.
