CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (November 4) More schools, health centers, and disaster relief projects in Mindanao are set to benefit from the higher earnings of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

From January to September 2025, PAGCOR recorded a 49 percent jump in net income, reaching ₱14.32 billion compared to ₱9.63 billion in the same period last year. Its total revenues climbed to ₱84.09 billion, mostly from gaming operations.

PAGCOR Chair and CEO Alejandro Tengco said the agency’s growing income helps fund projects that directly reach local communities, especially in disaster-prone and underserved areas in the south.

“Every peso that PAGCOR earns goes back to the people through classrooms, health facilities, and disaster response programs,” Tengco said.

Of the ₱54.26 billion total contributions to nation-building, ₱11 billion supported socio-civic projects such as school buildings, evacuation centers, and hospital improvements — including initiatives in Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

Local governments hosting Casino Filipino branches — such as Davao, Iligan, and General Santos — also received part of the ₱508.2 million in shared revenues to boost local programs and services.

Tengco said PAGCOR will continue supporting sustainable development projects across Mindanao while strengthening its campaign for responsible gaming and community resilience.
