A dead body was found in Marilog, Davao City

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — A lifeless body was discovered in Sitio Golf, Tamugan, Marilog District, on Saturday, July 6, at around 8:50 in the morning.

The Marilog police identified the victim as Roy Amolong, 41, a resident of Sitio Mapawa, Maragusan, Davao de Oro. According to the investigation, Amolong was killed on the evening of July 4 at about 11:00 p.m., but residents only reported the incident on Saturday, July 6.

Three witnesses informed police investigators that on the night of July 4, a certain Mark Sabuan, 20, a resident of Sitio Pegalungan, Marilog District, Davao City, stabbed Amolong. The body was then buried in a farm lot owned by Ronelo Celez in the same village.

Police suspect that the motive behind the killing was a personal grudge.
