DAVAO CITY — Two minors who have special concerns perished in a two-hour fire when their wooden house was gutted by fire on Monday, in the remote village of Saloy in Calinan District this city.

Based on the investigation, both parents left their differently-abled minors Lex Romero, 14 and his younger brother Loygie, 13, when the fire broke off at arounf 6:00 in the evening. Both kids cannot walk.

Fire Inspector Ramil Gillado said, Eliseo Capunong Romero, the father, went to the wake of his brother while his wife was looking for a job in Toril District.

Neighbors tried to contain the fire but failed.

Fire investigators are still verifying if the solar light, which was the only source of power in the house caused the fire.
