Cotabato province health office offers free mental health check-ups

COTABATO PROVINCE — In a significant move toward prioritizing mental health, the Integrated Provincial Health Office, under the auspices of the Provincial Government of Cotabato, is providing free mental health check-ups to registered beneficiaries. This initiative, led by Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza as part of the ‘Serbisyong Totoo’ advocacy, aims to ensure the holistic well-being of the residents of Cotabato Province.

Registered doctors, psychiatrists, and nurses are extending their services, addressing the mental health needs of beneficiaries, which include the provision of maintenance medications funded by the Provincial Government.

The free mental health check-ups form an integral part of the provincial administration’s commitment to genuine public service, striving to create a healthier and more prosperous province. Governor Taliño-Mendoza’s administration emphasizes the importance of mental health in overall well-being, recognizing it as a key component of ‘Serbisyong Totoo’ or True Service.

This initiative reflects the growing recognition of mental health as an essential aspect of healthcare, ensuring that residents have access to the necessary resources and support for their mental well-being.
