DAVAO CITY – The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) formally broke ground on Thursday, November 21, for the construction of a new multi-million peso daycare center and chapel at Camp Domingo Leonor.

The DCPO Chapel, with a project cost of ₱4,979,999.49, will serve as a dedicated space for prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth. The facility aims to foster resilience and provide moral guidance for police officers, reinforcing their values as public servants.

Meanwhile, the DCPO Daycare Center, with a project cost of ₱7,379,976.34, will offer a safe and nurturing environment for the children of DCPO personnel. This initiative is expected to provide officers with peace of mind, knowing their children are cared for while they perform their duties.

DCPO Director PCol Hansel Marantan emphasized the significance of these projects, stating, “These facilities are essential in addressing the emotional and practical needs of our personnel and their families. They symbolize the Philippine National Police’s commitment to the well-being of its members.”

Both projects are being implemented under the leadership of the PNP in coordination with PRO11 and will be constructed by Magnum Builders Corporation. The facilities aim to enhance morale, promote work-life balance, and strengthen the relationship between the police and the community they serve.
