DFA naglaum nga dunay positibong mahitabo sa kaso ni Mary Jane Veloso

DAKBAYAN SA DAVAO — Naglaum ang Pilipinas nga dunay positibong resulta padayon nga naningkamot sa pagluwas  kang Mary Jane Velasco, ang Pilipina nga nakonbikto  nga anaa na sa  “death row”.

Sumala ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) undersecretary for Migration Eduardo de Vega niadtong Lunes, ang media sa Indonesia nagtaho nga ang ilang gobyerno naghunahuna sa posibilidad nga tugotan ang pagbalhin sa mga langyaw nga piniriso sama ni Veloso nga didto magsilbi sa iyang sentensya sa iyang nasud.

“Gibuhat namo ang tanan nga among makaya ni Mary Jane Veloso. Sigurado nga ang mga Indonesian ug ang mga Pilipino dugay na nga naghisgot bahin niini ug nanghinaut kami nga adunay usa ka solusyon, giuyonan sa usag usa nga solusyon, nga alang sa labing kaayo nga kaayohan ni Ms Veloso ug sa iyang pamilya,” saysay ni De Vega.

“Naglaum usab kami nga dunay kami positibong mahatag nga pahibalo sa publiko sa dili madugay,” dugang ni De Vega.

Si Veloso gidakop sa kapulisan sa Indonesia sa Adisutjipto Airport sa Yogyakarta niadtong Abril 25, 2010 tungod sa giingong pagpayuhot og 2.6 ka kilo nga heroin sa iyang bagahe.

Gikonbikto kini sa pagpamaligyag droga ug gisentensiyahan og kamatayon.

Ang hukom gipaluyohan sa Korte Suprema sa Indonesia niadtong 2015, apan si Veloso gihatagan ug kataposang gutlo sa dihang ang gobyerno sa Pilipinas nipahibawo sa Indonesia nga ang mga recruiter nga nanglingla kaniya sa pagpayuhot sa drugas mi-surrender.

Ang Indonesian nga media mikutlo sa Indonesia’s Coordinating Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Minister Yusril Ihza Mahendra nga nag-ingon nga sila “naghisgot niini nga isyu sa sulod ug usab uban ni Presidente Prabowo [Subianto].”
