Diaz tambag sa mga atleta: Ipadayon ang training

DAVAO CITY — Bisan pa sa krisis nga giatubang sa nasud ug sa tibuok kalibutan, gitambagan ni Rio Olympics weightlifting silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz ang mga atleta nga ipadayon ang ilang pagbansay- bansay para makab-ot ang ilang damgong kadaugan.

Gi-angkon ni Diaz nga lisud ang paglihok- lihok tungod sa striktong pagpatuman sa
kwarentina aron masugpo ang coronavirus disease (Covid-19), apan dili kini rason nga moundang sa pagbansay-bansay.

Ang kahimtang sa kalibutan karon tipik lamang sa sakripisyo ug pagsulay nga dapat atubangon sa mga atleta aron makab-ot ang ilang mga pangandoy, sigun ni Diaz.

“Don’t quit on your dream. Stay safe, train safely. Sundin ang batas na
ipinatutupad ng gobyerno dahil para ito sa kapakanan nating lahat. Tuloy lang sa
training,” matud pa sa Zamboangueña sa usa ka interbyu.

Si Diaz kasamtangang tua sa Malaysia, kung diin siya naabtan sa lockdown.

Sa Malaysia, wala moundang si Diaz sa iyang training kauban ang iyang Instik nga coach nga si Gao Kaiwen ug “strength and conditioning” coach nga si Julius Naranjo.

Tungod sa lockdown, wala sila makabalik sa Pilipinas, ug dili pud advisable kang Gao
ang pagbiyahe kay 63 anyos na ang coach, asoy ni Diaz.

Bantay-sarado ang training ni Diaz ug binantayan pud ang iyang pagkaon aron
magpabilin sa maayong kundisyon ang iyang lawas.

Sa pagkakaron, wala pa’y gipagawas nga listahan ang International Weightlifting
Federation sa mga ni-qualify sa Tokyo Olympics sunod tuig.

Hinuon, si Diaz nakasiguro sa iyang pag-apil sa Olympics tungod sa iyang world
ranking.

Si Diaz kasamtangang naa sa ika-lima nga pwesto sa rankings, sunod sa upat ka
atleta sa China.

Sigurado ang pagsulod ni Diaz sa Tokyo Olympics tungod kay usa ra sa upat ka
Chinese weightlifter ang matagaan og luna sa maong kompetisyon.
