DOLE rolls out ₱28M jobs aid for quake-hit Davao Region

DAVAO CITY (October 15) — The Department of Labor and Employment–Davao Region is rolling out ₱28 million in emergency jobs under Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (Tupad) for residents affected by the October 10 earthquakes.

The program will benefit 5,450 workers—mostly from Davao Oriental—with short-term jobs focused on clearing and recovery work in Manay, Davao Oriental and nearby areas.

“We aim to help workers rebuild their lives through temporary income and community restoration,” said Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy, DOLE-Davao regional director.
