Duterte dines at Jolibee Hong Kong before meeting the OFWs

DAVAO CITY, Philippines —Pres. Rodrigo R. Duterte makes an unannounced visit to a Jolibee outlet in Hong Kong before proceeding to Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, to be with the Filipino community gathering.

Acting just like any other food chain client, Duterte,  was accompanied by Secretary Bong Go, Davao City  Mayor Sara Duterte, Honeylet Avancena and Veronica Duterte.

Duterte invited Mrs. Alma O. Pardillo, an OFW in Hong Kong, to join them.

He committed to provide medical assistance to her 9-year old child diagnosed with a serious lung ailment.

Duterte’s soft  spot for the poor and the underprivileged is among the traits that his people loved.

Duterte will also shoulder the two-way  airfare of Mrs. Pardillo so she can go home to attend the college graduation of her child and to be with her children whom she hasn’t seen for a long time already.

Duterte has announced that he will visit Kuwait anytime for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between thr Philippines and the government of Kuwait.-ezc/Newsline.Ph
