Former police officer shot dead in Kidapawan City

KIDAPAWAN CITY — A former police officer was shot and killed in a tragic incident this evening, October 18.

Kidapawan City Police identified the victim as Police Corporal Rolinda Tabamo, 31 years old.

According to police reports, Tabamo was gunned down by an assailant riding a motorcycle while standing outside her laundry shop located on Datu Ingkal Street in the Poblacion area of Kidapawan City.

The crime was committed just near the compound of Notre Dame of Kidapawan College.

Tabamo was previously assigned to the Tantangan Municipal Police Station in South Cotabato but reportedly went absent without leave (AWOL) at the time of the incident.

Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are working to determine the motive behind the attack.
