MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL – Governor Henry Oaminal began 2025 by inspecting two flagship projects aimed at transforming the province’s economic and healthcare landscapes: the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park and the Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center.
Accompanied by the Provincial Engineer’s Office, led by Engr. Ophelia Gorre, Governor Oaminal, personally assessed the progress of these cornerstone initiatives under his administration’s banner, “Asenso Misamis Occidental.”
“Maldives of Mindanao” to Drive Tourism
Dubbed the “Maldives of Mindanao,” the Resort and Aquamarine Park is envisioned as a major tourism driver for the province. Spanning 49 hectares of coastal and forested land, the resort will feature luxury amenities such as four-story hotels, cottages, coastal villas with pools, spas, restaurants, nature trails, and a bird sanctuary.
Upon completion, the resort is expected to create jobs, boost livelihoods, and attract visitors from across the region, showcasing the province’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
World-Class Healthcare in the Works
The Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center is poised to redefine healthcare in the province. Designed to offer world-class medical services, the facility aims to provide Misamisnon residents with reliable, high-quality, and affordable healthcare, reducing the need for out-of-province treatments.
“These projects are not just structures—they are symbols of hope, progress, and a brighter future for Misamis Occidental,” Governor Oaminal said during the site inspections.
Commitment to Progress
Maldives of MindanaoWe are working tirelessly to deliver these projects, which will benefit not only today’s generation but also the generations to come,” he added.
The administration’s dedication to tangible progress highlights its commitment to uplifting the lives of Misamisnon residents. As these projects take shape, they stand as testaments to the vision of a peaceful, prosperous, and progressive Misamis Occidental.
