MANILA — An Omani who allegedly enticed two Filipino women to travel and meet him abroad to perform sex acts in exchange for money will be banned from entering the country.

This after the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Port Operations Division (POD) recommended the blacklisting of a certain Khalid Khalaf Gharib Al Shuraiqi following the apprehension of his would-be victims at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 last Sunday.

BI-POD chief Grifton Medina said Thursday the foreigner’s scheme was revealed after the victims were intercepted by members of the Bureau’s Travel Control and Enforcement Unit (TCEU) at the NAIA before they could board their flight to Bangkok.

He added that the passengers, whose name he refused to divulge as prohibited by anti-trafficking laws, admitted that they agreed to meet up the Omani who wanted to sleep with them together.

“One of the victims said she was promised PHP5,000 a day if she and her companion would stay and engage in sexual relations with said Omani for eight days,” Medina said in a statement.

The victim supposedly agreed to the offer as she needed the money because she is the breadwinner of the family.

On the other hand, BI Commissioner Jaime Morente noted that foreigners luring Filipinos to engage in prostitution are considered undesirable aliens.

“These predators are preying on the vulnerabilities of our people, and do not deserve the privilege of entering our country. They pose a serious threat to our kababayan, especially the poor, who may be swayed by false promises of money,” he said.

The women have been turned over to the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) for further investigation and assistance.-PNA
