DAVAO CITY – A tragic incident occurred at Odessa Laundromat as construction worker Jerry Cordova Jr. arrived at the workplace of his live-in partner, Kimberly Quiam Pascua, 30 years old from Purok B9, Tigatto, Buhangin in the city, yesterday morning, July 30.

Surveillance footage captured an altercation between Kimberly and Jerry, during which Jerry stabbed her in the back. Despite Kimberly’s attempts to flee down the hallway of Odessa Laundromat, Jerry caught up with her and repeatedly stabbed her, leading to her death.

After the incident, Jerry turned the knife on himself in an apparent suicide attempt. He was Kimberly’s live-in partner. Jerry then grabbed a transparent plastic hose and tied it around his neck, resulting in his death.

Authorities swiftly responded to the scene, but their arrival was too late to save either Kimberly or Jerry. Both were pronounced dead on-site.

The authorities are conducting an investigation into circumstances surrounding the attack and subsequent suicide.
