DAVAO CITY – On July 31, at around 6:10 in the morning, the lifeless body of a man was found in the drainage of Davao-Bukidnon Highway, specifically in Purok 11, Barangay Calinan, Calinan District, Davao City. The victim was unclothed and submerged in the water.

Near the body, a motorcycle was also found, which might have been driven by the deceased before it fell into the drainage.

Some residents suspect foul play in the man’s death.

Calinan Police Station identified the man in the video as Cris Louied Sabio Carajay, 34 years old, residing in Purok 7, Barangay Lacson, Davao City.

According to Police Major Ricky Obenza, the Chief of Calinan Police Station, there was no foul play involved in Carajay’s death.

It is possible that the victim met with an accident at the scene, as evident damage was found on his motorcycle, and a concrete structure near the drainage appeared to have been hit.

Police authorities have requested the family’s consent for an autopsy to determine the actual cause of Carajay’s death.
