Mole tips suspect Ampatuan PNP coming: BAR PNP Chief

August 31, 2022 by NewsLine Philippines

DAVAO CITY —- A mole tipped off the suspected robber that the members of the Ampatuan town police were on their way to serve a warrant of arrest which resulted to the killing of the town police chief and his aide on Tuesday at around 10:00 in the morning in the village of Kapinpilan.

The Ampatuan police led by town police chief Lieutenant Reynaldo Samson travelled with his security aide Corporal Salipudin Endab, Senior Master Sergeant Reynante Quinalayo, corporals Rogelio dela Cuesta and Marc Clint Dayaday to serve a warrant of arrest against a certain Kamir Kambal who has been charged of robbery

But Samson’s group failed to find Kambal and headed back to the police station but they were attacked by armed group while traversing the village of Kapinpilan.

Samson and Endab were killed while Quinalayo, dela Cuesta and Dayaday sustained gunshot wounds and are not recovering at the hospital.

“Mukhang may nag leak ng (Seems someone leaked ) the information while we were doing a one time, big time operation, said Bangsamoro Autonomous Region Police Chief PBGen. John Gano Guyguyon said, as he further explained “I serve sana unfortunately nangyari ito (It was about to be served but unfortunately it happened).

Because of the incident Philippine National Police director for personnel and records management Brigadier General Roberto Rodriguez relieved Colonel Christopher Panapan, the provincial police director of Maguindanao. Panapan was replaced by Colonel Roel Rullan Sermese, who used to serve in PNP-Soccsksargen.

The BAR-PNP condemned to the highest degree the untimely death of their personnel who were killed in line of duty.

“We will be make sure to know as to how and what happened and help the families get justice,” Guyguyon vowed “We will not let this pass, we will do everything to keep peace here at BAR, the policemen offered their lives though that is what our service is all about, we need to protect the people and our unit.”

The PNP, Guyguyon said, do not want the situation “to escalate into something na tayong lahat ay matatakot (that everyone will be scared), a reason why the intelligence communities and other law enforcement units are scouring for evidence and make the suspects accountable for the dastardly act

As it is now, the Police Regional Office BAR has over 3,000 pending warrant of arrests and search warrants which remained unserved and all units of the PNP were ordered to enforce it through Oplan One Time-Big Tim.

The PRO BAR is asking the communities to help them find the suspects so the police can bring them before the bars of justice so that justice will be served to the bereaved families “We will solve this, we ask for the support of the community to help the PNP in identifying the culprits, if they can do it to the unirmed personnel, they can do it to other people,” he added.

AS it is now, two personalities surfaced but the PNP is digging deeper “We have two personalities already, in due time we will arrest them, the vehicle used has been identified the long arm of the law will catch with them, as we get more information from the field,” Guyguyon emphasized.

He also asked his personnel to be extra careful in their operations.-Marvin Revilla
