NCRPO Deploys Over 6,000 Personnel for VP Duterte Impeachment Trial

MANILA (July 5) – The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has deployed more than 6,000 police personnel to secure the Senate complex in Pasay City ahead of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte starting Monday.

According to NCRPO spokesperson Maj. Hazel Asilo, 3,250 Civil Disturbance Management personnel and 2,900 Reactionary Standby Support Force officers will guard the Senate’s perimeter, access points, and surrounding roads to maintain peace and order.

The NCRPO said its deployment is focused on security outside the Senate, including managing protests, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and preventing security disruptions. Police also urged rally participants and the public to cooperate and exercise their right to peaceful assembly responsibly.
