KIDAPAWAN CITY — Today marks another milestone for Newsline Philippines as it opens the North Cotabato Bureau office.
On August 28, 2021, Newsline Philippines opened its latest television channel in the said province.
In the midst of the most challenging times, the women and men at Newsline Philippines are taking bolder steps in grappling with the impact of a global pandemic and economic survival.
On April 28, 2021, Newsline Philippines aimed to pave the way by launching a television channel on Skycable Channel 50 in the cities of Davao and General Santos.
Because of the demand for improved and broader news coverage, the management and Publisher decided to address the issue, resulting in the establishment of a news bureau in Davao City and General Santos and Kidapawan City.
“It is our commitment to the people of Cotabato Province that we hope to build an information highway, highlighting people’s lives and events that are least reported but have great contributions in what the province’s socio-political and economic state has achieved over time,” says Newsline Philippines publisher Editha Z. Caduaya.
Newsline’s most recent engagement with the people of North Cotabato, via NCTVN NorthCotabato Channel 50, drew a slew of new followers who were eager to keep up with the news organization’s stories on Facebook and its website.
The outfit’s print publication has reached a significant number of subscribers which inspired the publisher to open a news bureau in the province of Cotabato.
“In times of emergency or ongoing pandemic crisis, access and timely coverage of developing stories or occurrences demand media attention to inspiring early response from authorities or quick mobilization of community members,” Caduaya explains.
Newsline.ph began as a media start-up program inspired by the World Association of Newspapers and Publishers (WAN-IFRA) training in Kuala Lumpur on July 8, 2016, and launched on November 8, 2016, as a digital news site showcasing Mindanao stories.
Newsline Philippines debuted its weekly newspaper on October 8, 2019, and it is now distributed throughout Mindanao.
In October 2020, the Newsline.ph Social Media platform, which is connected to Facebook, made a huge breakthrough by beginning to publish Visayan news stories using the Newsroom 2020 algorithm, which was well received by its readers and followers.
The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines has registered Newsline Philippines as a news brand. Its paper edition has the widest and biggest range in distribution among weekly newspapers in the region, as it is distributed not only in business centers but also in the communities of Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, Compostela Valley Province, Davao City, Davao del Sur, the BARMM, Misamis Occidental, Province of Bukidnon, Gingoog City, Dipolog City, Cagayan de Oro City, South and North Cotabato, Zamboanga.
