DAVAO CITY (May 29) — Despite the massive endorsements and mounting calls from his followers on the ground, for him to run for senator come 2019 mid-term elections, Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, maintained he does not have the plan, as of now.

“Wala pa, trabaho lang talaga,” he told reporters here over the weekend.

In Surigao City, a coalition dubbed as “Go para sa Pagbabago movement”, was launched Saturday, to dramatize their support for the still undecided Go. The same group was behind the President Rodrigo Duterte movement in 2016.

On Monday, May 28, top officials of Tarlac province led by Governor Susan Yap and Tarlac (2nd District) Rep. Victor Yap openely endorsed Go’s candidacy before he arrived for the mass oath-taking of newly-elected barangay officials.

Go belied the speculation  that he attended the event to kick  off  his senatorial bid  in the province, saying that he was just invited as guest.

“It is still too early, I have many assignments and loads of work,  as ordered by the President, I need to get things done,” he stressed.

Duterte has repeatedly expressed his support for Go,  describing him as his number one senator.

But despite  the endorsements, Go maintained he has yet to decide, he added ” if there is one thing he wants to do now “I want to serve the President and the Filipino people, katulong lang po.”-Jiann A. Padillo/Newsline.ph
