NoCot tightens boundaries, implements No Movement Sunday due to Covid-19 surge

KIDAPAWAN CITY — The provincial government here tightens it borders and implements a No Movement Sunday starting 12:01 of May 30, 2021.

Governor Nancy A. Catamco in an interview with Newsline.ph on Saturday said “We decided to tighten the border because the number of Coronavirus-19 is increasing, and our hospital is already overwhelmed.’

As of May 29, 2021, the provincial Inter-Agency Task Force has recorded 437 cases.

Catamco said the provincial IATF has decided to revert back their quarantine status from Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ ) to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) to cushion the possible surge as the government hospitals designated to accommodate Coronavirus cases are already filled up.

Starting May 30, all inbound passengers who are non -residents are required to show a negative RT-PCR negative test results taken within 72-hours upon entering the boundaries.

Aside from that, they adopt a “No Movement Sunday” starting May 30, 2021 to further enforce the Stay at Home policy.-ezc

On Sundays only pharmacies, hospitals and gasoline stations are open but farmers are allowed to plants, harvest, mill their produce and go to their farms for maintenance purposes.
