One dead, several injured in Ombak-Pickup collision in Davao City

DAVAO CITY (April 27) — One person was killed and several others, including children, were injured after a collision between a black Ombak vehicle and a pickup truck in Sitio Lanitum, Marilog District, on Saturday afternoon.

Initial reports said the vehicles collided along a stretch of highway in the mountainous district, causing serious injuries to passengers aboard the Ombak. Among those hurt were several children who were immediately brought to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that one fatality was recorded from the accident, though the identity of the deceased has yet to be officially released.

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision. As of this writing, the situation is still being monitored, with police on the scene to manage the area and assist with emergency response.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling through Marilog, particularly along high-risk, mountainous roads.
