Pagsira sa ABS-CBN walay kalabotan sa martial law

DAVAO CITY — Ang pagsira sa ABS-CBN dili pasiunang hitabo paingon sa pagdeklarar og martial law, ang Malacañang Palace nag-ingon karong Huwebes, Mayo 7.

Gipasabot ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque nga ang pagsira sa sibyaanan wala magpasabot nga mosunod niini ang deklarasyon sa martial law, sukwahi sa pangagpas ni Bishop Broderick Pabillo, ang apostolic administrator sa Archdiocese of Manila.

Sa virtual press conference nga gisibya sa PTV-4, si Roque nagkanayon nga ang pagsira sa ABS-CBN dili parehas sa nahitabo sa panahon ni kanhi distador Ferdinand Marcos nga mideklarar og martial law niadtong 1972.

“Sa tingin ko po, malayung-malayo tayo sa sitwasyon ng martial law noong 1972,” matud pa ni Roque.

Sa iyang post sa Facebook, si Pabillo nag-ingon nga ang pagsira sa ABS-CBN nagpadala og “chilling,” o makapanlimbawot nga mensahe nga umaabot na ang multo sa martial law, ug gigamit lang sa gobyerno ang pandemya para pagtabon sa ilang mga law-ay nga buhat.

“The specter of martial law is coming up! This action of government is not uniting the people. In fact, it is using the pandemic as a cover for its dastardly deed,” ingon ni Pabillo.

Gihimakak ni Roque ang pasangil sa obispo ug gitin-aw nga gikinahanglan nga hunongon sa ABS-CBN ang ilang pagpanibya tungod kay ni-expire na ang ilang prangkisa niadtong Mayo 4.

“Bukas po ang mga media outlet bukod lang po sa ABS-CBN dahil nawalan nga siya ng prangkisa,” pasabot ni Roque.

Ang ABS-CBN nawala sa kahanginan niadtong Martes sa gabii, Mayo 5, human nga miluwat ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) og “cease and desist order” tungod sa hinungdan nga expired ang prangkisa sa sibyaanan.

Ubang mga kritiko mihulagway sa order sa NTC nga susama sa pagpasira ni Marcos sa ABS-CBN niadtong 1972, apan si Roque nag-ingon nga si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte walay kalabotan sa desisyon sa NTC batok sa network. (LBG)
