DAVAO CITY (April 13) — Malacañang on Wednesday, said the opposition is always welcome to criticize the government, saying they can do their worse in their attacks, but the administration will do its best to deliver its mandate.

The Palace, according to Chief Presidential Legal Counsel and Presidential Spokesperson Salvador S. Panelo, sees the black propaganda of the opposition candidates as their way to woe voters, but the people, the majority of the Filipino people feels how the government address their concerns.

Panelo issued the statement after former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go’ showed off his back which belied the claim of the critics that he is part of the illegal drugs traade.

Durinng the briefing, Panelo emphasized, “We’ve been saying all along that was a black propaganda. There are people who believed it. It’s now showing that it’s not true. It’s never been true.”

“One who alleges must prove. They have to prove what they are saying. That’s why we’ve been repeatedly saying it’s black propaganda,” he added.

The administration will just let the opposition do what they want to do. On the other hand, the Duterte administration will continue working for the betterment of the lives of the Filipinos, Panelo added..

“They can do their worse. We will do our best,” the Palace spokesperson stressed.

“Ang ilalabas lang namin ay ang kasaganahan ng bansa. Ang kasipagan ni Presidente sa kanyang tungkulin bilang Presidente ng ating bayan. Ang kanyang katapatan. ‘Yan ang mga ilalabas natin. Iyong mga black propaganda, wag na ‘yan,” Panelo added.

The Palace official, meanwhile, sent a stern warning to people who seek to trample on the country’s sovereignty.

This after a news story was released about several Chinese vessels reportedly seen around Kota Island and Panata Island.

“[W]e will object to their presence. We already filed a diplomatic protest and that applies to everything, anything that concerns Chinese vessels in our territory,” he said.

While the country remains friendly with China with respect to trade relations, the government will first and foremost affirm the sovereignty of the country, Panelo said.

“If they continue to be present in our territory then it is an assault to our territory,” the Spokesperson said.-Jiann A. Padillo/Newsline.ph
