Passengers run after bus catches fire in North Cotabato

DAVAO CITY –— Passengers of the ill–fated unit Mindanao Star with Body no: 15525 bearing plate number 0401287344 immediately disembarked from the us when when the fire started to eat up the rear portion of the vehicle.

Witnesses said the passengers managed to escape the developing fire as the driver slowed down the bus when he noticed the rear portion was on fire.

In a report submitted by Police Major Andres Sumugat of Pigcawayan PNP, he revealed that the unit driven by Roy C Calacar caught fire while running on the highway in Brgy. South Manuangan, Pigcawayan, Cotabato, around 9:20 this morning, November 18, 2023.

Sumugat, the chief of the Pigcawayan PNP claimed a fire suddenly broke out in the inside of the bus.
Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident.

The police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
