Police eyes love triangle over LTO employee’s death

DAVAO CITY –— Investigators from San Pedro Police are looking at a love triangle as motive behind the death of Gordon Gildo Gabrinez, 34, an employee of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) 11 on was stabbed to death at around 2:39 in the morning on December 19.

San Pedro Chief of Police Major Marvin Hugos in a press statement said, initial police investigation showed that prior to the incident the wife of the victim reportedly read the messenger conversation between her live-in partner and the wife the suspect identified as Ravin Mulat Cedeńo, a BPO encoder.

The two parties agreed to meet up and to patch up things.

The suspect together with his wife went to the residence of the Grabrinez in Rizal Extension, Barangay 38-D, Davao City, but during the supposed meeting, Cedeño suddenly stabbed Gabrinez using a kitchen knife.

The victim and the suspect’s wife both work at the LTO XI regional office in Ecoland this city.

Cedeño was placed under arrest after he turned himself for custody.

Hugos said a case of murder will be filed against Cedeño.
