DAVAO CITY — The police on Wednesday, July 15, arrested a wanted person who was escorted by three armed individuals who pretended as agents of the National Bureau of Investigation.
The police operates was responding to a call that wanted person Jonathan James Arce Chu, 30, married, businessman and a resident of 9-A Door 3, Mckenzie Pad, Rhine St., Brgy 19-B, Garcia Heights, Davao City, was sighted with three NBI escorts along Sandawa Road, Barangay 76-A here.
Chu was issued alias Warrant of Arrest for Estafa thru Falsification of Public Documents under criminal case No. 10474 issued by Hon. Caroline Roxas-Jaucian, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 26, San Fernando City, La Union.
A composite team was organize involving Special Operation Group led by PMaj. Milan Naz, elements of Police Station 9, Tugbok led by PMaj. Ricky Obenza and and elements of SWAT DCPO led by PCapt. Manuel Kristian Sargado, to serve the said warrant.
The Davao City Police report said that while the operatives serve the warrant at around 6:45 in the evening, “The following persons wearing a uniform of NBI namely Welhelm Pocot Cubello, 40 years old, married, businessman and a resident of FS Pajares St., Gatas, Pagadian City, Zamboanga, Del Sur; Mario Pasagdan Quisada, 48 years old, married and a resident of Purok 28V, Madaum, Tagum City and Matias Cande Relacion, 50 years old, married and a resident of KM 15, Indangan, Dizon, Buhangin, Davao City, all identified themselves as NBI Agents had tried to intervene and obstruct the serviced of warrant prompting the operatives to arrest them. “
During the verification, they were found out that they were just civilian agents of NBI Tagum City.
Operatives recovered/seized from the possession and control of the three suspects were loaded firearms, loaded magazines, NBI badge without number, Firearm Registration ID, LTOPF ID, one (1) unit Ford Ranger Raptor pick up and three (3) cellular phones.
Arrested suspects and the pieces of evidence were brought to Special Operation Group office for documentation and proper disposition.-Newsline
