Scheduled power interruptions on February 25 and 26 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct scheduled power interruptions on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 25 and 26, 2025, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.

The first schedule is a 6-hour power interruption from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, to facilitate line works for the R. Magsaysay Avenue Underground Cabling Project. Customers from some parts of R. Magsaysay Avenue from corner C. Bangoy Sr. Street to corner Sales Street, Guerrero Street from Parklane to corner R. Magsaysay, Jacinto Street from corner R. Magsaysay to corner Luna Street, and Luna Street from corner Jacinto Street to corner Suazo Street and its nearby areas will be affected by this service disruption.

A switching power interruption will also be conducted for 45 minutes from 2:00 a.m. to 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25 to facilitate ERA Substation works. Specifically affected are those from crossing Mamay Road to crossing Milan, Cabantian, Communal, up to Indangan, and nearby areas, from Crossing Mamay Road to Diversion Road Crossing Panacan including the Airport and nearby areas.

Lastly, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, to facilitate the relocation of poles along Carmen National Highway. Specifically affected are those from Purok 1 and Purok 2 of Brgy. Ising, Brgy. Tuganay, Brgy. Anibongan, Brgy. San Isidro, Brgy. Guadalupe, and Brgy. San Isidro of the Municipality of Carmen.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
