Service disruption on June 13 in the northern part of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct an additional power interruption on June 13, Tuesday, affecting customers in the northern part of Davao City. 

This power interruption is necessary to conduct maintenance works on Buhangin Substation Transformer 2.

The power interruption will be for 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads from the affected lines to nearby substations.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Mamay Road, including Comus Grill, Diho Phase 2, St. Anthony Subdivision, Roseville Subdivision, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers along Daang Maharlika Highway from Crossing Mamay Road to Orange Grove Hotel, and neighboring areas. 

Customers along Pan-Philippine Highway, from Sumifru Philippines Corp. to Licanan, including Sumifru Philippines Corp., Foodsphere Inc., AJMR Port Complex, Daniel M. Perez Central, Bunawan Overpass, Iglesia Ni Cristo – Bunawan, Steniel, and neighboring areas; will also be affected by this service interruption.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by this scheduled power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
