Switching Power Interruptions Scheduled for December 1 and 2 in Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) has announced scheduled switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, December 1 and 2, 2024, affecting customers in Davao del Norte. These interruptions are necessary to facilitate substation maintenance at the San Vicente Substation.

To minimize the duration of the power interruptions, loads from the affected lines will temporarily be transferred to a nearby substation:

  • Load Transfer: 30 minutes, anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 1.
  • Load Normalization: 30 minutes, anytime between 3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2.

Areas Affected

The following areas will experience the interruptions:

  1. From San Vicente Substation going to Sto. Niño Carmen, including:
    • Quezon Street, Panabo
    • Gaisano Mall Panabo to corner Roxas Street
    • Daang Maharlika Highway and nearby areas
  2. Along Daang Maharlika from Panabo Bus Terminal to Maryknoll College, and from Sto. Niño Elementary School Carmen to Tuganay, including:
    • Biopulp and surrounding areas

Advisory and Safety Reminders

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the scheduled power interruptions and assures customers that every effort will be made to restore power as scheduled or earlier. However, unforeseen circumstances may extend restoration times beyond the planned schedule.

For safety, Davao Light advises the public to take extra precautions when passing areas where line repairs and maintenance activities are ongoing. Please follow posted warning signs, especially in areas where personnel are operating heavy equipment.
