DAVAO CITY ––To ensure that the community can continuously provide the health care needs of the community, the Therma Marine Inc., a subsidiary of AboitizPower , handed over medicines and other medical supplies to the municipal government of Maco in Davao del Oro province.

The power generation company donated medicine and other healthcare supplies to Brgy. San Roque in Maco, including paracetamol, vitamins, folic acids, face masks, and even medical supplies for circumcision programs.

San Roque’s barangay health center is an important part of the community as it provides basic healthcare and medical assistance such as vaccination support, prenatal and postnatal check ups, and vitamins for children.

The health center has also provided residents with isolation facilities at the height of the pandemic.

“We are thankful to Therma Marine for your unwavering support especially to our health sector. The success of these programs would not be possible without your support to our barangay and the others as well,” said San Roque Brgy. Captain Mario Sapilan

Sapilan also added that the medicines provided will be a big help since San Roque is only a small community and the cost of medicine tends to be expensive.

Therma Marine has been at the forefront of development in Maco, Davao De Oro, spearheading various community development projects focused on livelihood, education, and health and wellness.

“We may not be able to change the world on these medical missions, but patient by patient, we can make a difference in their lives,” shared  Ariel Fabella,  AboitizPower Oil Business Unit Vice President for Operations and Maintenance.

Therma Marine, Inc. operates two 100-MW oil-fired power barges in Maco, Davao de Oro (Mobile 1) and Nasipit, Agusan del Norte (Mobile 2).
